Who am I?

My name is Ozan Orcunus. I spent a large part of my career at financial industry as a system engineer / architect dealing with virtual and cloud environments. The company that I work for at 2005 was one of the early adopters of VMware technologies in Turkey so I started to gain experience over average in my own country and somehow (I still don’t know why), some sort of desire to share the knowledge started to grow in me. There were convincing number of resources in the VMware community but nothing in Turkish so I decided to blog at my own language at 2011. But now, as there are many, in order to reach broader audience, I think it’s a good time to leave my comfort zone and switch to English.

As you can easily guess, blogging did not exactly curb my enthusiasm so I started VMUG Turkey with a few friends from VMware and steered the group for 4 years. I’m not the current leader of the community but I still take part in the steering committee and perform in the events.

I currently hold VCAP5-DCA, VCP4/5/6-DCV and VCP6-NV certifications and honored as vExpert for two times.

Nowadays, I have strong focus and enthusiasm on cloud native applications so I closely follow the evolution of products such as vSphere Integrated Containers, Photon Platform, etc. So I plan to write about CNA among regular virtualization stuff.
